Teenage burglarPOLICE have released a photo-fit of a youth who attacked a 77-year-old grandmother in her Seend home.
The man, thought to be aged between 15-17, broke into the home of Gladys Gibson 12 days ago, pushing her into an armchair while a second youth stole nearly £2,000 in cash and jewellery.
The attacker had short, dark hair with a pale complexion. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket and trainers.
The intruders, who left Mrs Gibson with bruising to her arms and ribs, fled the scene, with police searches of the area proving unsuccessful.
Mrs Gibson, who is permanently attached to an oxygen supply, was unable to provide a description of the other youth, who had his back turned throughout the incident.
Detectives from Marlborough are continuing the investigation.
