ONE of Warminster's newest orchestras is appealing for string playing musicians to join up.
Oboist Amanda Wakelin-Smith said the hunt for string players was becoming more difficult, threatening the survival of orchestras across the county.
Thirty people turned up to the first audition of Miss Wakelin-Smith's new orchestra, which is still without a name.
Miss Wakelin-Smith said she had contacted all of the schools and music centres in the county.
The orchestra has an entry standard of grade three for people of all ages.
