TWO fans of reality show The Farm say they were treated like criminals when they tried to support the celebrity contestants.
Donna Tippetts, 21, and Sabrina Millar, 22, of Hollybush Road and Cotswold Close, Waminster, made the journey to East Hill View Farm in Heytesbury, dressed as a pig and a cockerel, in a light-hearted attempt to support the popular show. Angry security guards shepherded them away from the gates as fears grew that security would be breached.
"It's like we were known criminals that were going to shoot someone," Miss Tippetts said.
Miss Tippetts has written to Channel 5, to ask why the public are being kept away from the set.
"If it's better than Big Brother then why are we not allowed to support the people in the house? We're not going to cause any trouble," she said.
"It's not very often that something like this comes into our community."
Fans are also banned from going to the set when the winner of the show is announced on Sunday.
