FLOWERS and certificates were handed out to Bradford on Avon's star achievers on Friday.
Mayor Vicky Landell Mills presented the awards at the town council's annual gathering at St Margaret's Hall.
The Bradford division of the St John Ambulance won the overall achievement award.
Cllr Landell Mills said: "We all feel safer for the fact that St John is there. It's a voluntary activity and it has been to at least 80 events this year."
Maggie Dobson, recently retired chairman of the Bradford on Avon Preservation Trust, was presented with the runner-up award.
The mayor said: "She has steered it for many years, effectively and with great charm."
Mrs Dobson, author of Bradford Voices, said: "All of us work hard for the town because we feel so fortunate to be here."
The Past and Future Award went to Mike Savage and John Cottle for the restoration of the Mount Pleasant Centre.
