ONCE again Mr Rothschild has been berated for improving a derelict site (Letters, October 8). Pumpkin's Tower, you either like it or hate it. I like it and surely it is better to have a building rather than a derelict site with a tatty notice board on it, which it was.
Now Mr Rothschild wants to improve the derelict toilets in Wicker Hill. Well, I say good for him because nobody else will do it and haven't we got enough derelict buildings and sites in Trowbridge? All the so-called planners do is sit around talking about a 'vision'.
I understand that Mr Rothschild was once refused planning permission to build a castle. Well, why not let him build it on the Ushers site? That really would be a vision.
