DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Mick Love are trying to trace two men who may hold vital information.
The pair were seen drinking cans of lager near the murder scene about 10 minutes before the father-of-two's body was found.
They were spotted in Victoria Road, opposite the junction with Cannon Street, at 5.10am on September 27, and appeared to be in high spirits.
Both men were white, of average height and build and were wearing dark clothing.
One had short dark hair, while the other was light haired.
Postal worker Mr Love, 40, of Prospect Place, was walking home after a meal with friends when he was killed.
His body was found in Cannon Street at the junction with Victoria Road.
Colin Lewin, 34, of Broad Street, has been charged with the murder.He will face trial at Bristol Crown Court, and is due to appear for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, October 19.
