TEACHERS and students have being paying tribute to a classroom assistant who died last week from breast cancer.
The funeral of mother-of-two Linda Pauffley of Paxcroft Mead was held on Thursday.
The 35-year-old had only recently achieved a distinction in her Classroom Teaching Assistant Awards at Wiltshire College Trowbridge and started work at Paxcroft Mead Primary School.
Programme leader for classroom teaching assistants Lynn O'Pray said: "Linda was an extremely popular member of the group with her large, extrovert personality.
"We were all touched by her and she will be missed terribly.
"Linda was so proud of her achievement of passing with a distinction that her husband framed the certificate and took it into hospital for her to have at her bedside."
Linda died from breast cancer on September 30 and leaves her two children Lauren, four, and six-year-old Andrew.
