THE opening event in the Commercial House League was fished on the Avon at Melksham and Conigre where weights were fairly even.
Daiwa BAC topped A division with 31 points with Superseal top of the B division with 34.
Individual honours went to Kevin Dicks, of Bathampton Avon Aquatics, with a mixed bag of roach and perch and a bonus 6lb pike weighing 18lb 13oz, taken alternating with pole and stick floated casters.
Runner-up was Robin Guy, of Melksham, fishing for Queens Head, with an all-chub catch weighing 15lb 11oz, taken on long pole-fished casters.
He was followed by Brian Derrick, of SWEB, with a mixed bag weighing 13lb 8oz.
Chub fed well in the Calne match fished on Sunday at Hazeland.
Pete Halliday, of Calne, won with an all chub catch weighing 11lb 13oz, taken on legered worm on an 18 hook. Dave Scoble, of Calne, was second with another chub catch weighing 5lb 14oz, taken on pole-fished casters on an 18 hook.
Trevor Payne, of Chippenham, was a close third with a chub catch weighing 5lb 13oz, taken on legered luncheon meat on a 12 hook.
Other placings: 4 Gary Dodson, Calne, 4lb 11oz ; 5 Paul Cadogan, Calne, 4lb 7oz; 6 James Daniels, Calne, 3lb 12oz.

Andy Pratten, of Melksham, won on a low weight day with an all-roach catch weighing 5lb 10oz, taken on stick-floated casters on an 18 hook.
Marcus Crook, of Melksham, was second with an all bleak catch weighing 4lb 10oz, taken on waggler-fished red maggots on an 18 hook. He was followed by Paul Rice, of Melksham, with an all roach catch weighing 3lb 12oz, taken on stick-floated casters on an 18 hook. Steve Shiers, of Melksham, was fourth with a mixed bag weighing 3lb 8oz.

Runner-up was team-mate Andy Gabb, with an all dace catch weighing 8lb 6oz, taken on stick-floated bronze maggots on a 20 hook. He was followed by Adrian Tarling, of Angling Tech, with a mixed catch of roach and dace weighing 7lb 2oz, taken on stick-floated bronze maggots on a 20 hook.
