PLANS for CCTV in Highworth are still up in the air.
Councillors have discussed proposals to install cameras in trouble-hit Swindon Street with the police.
Inspector Simon Dicks said the system needed to be connected to an ambitious integrated scheme being planned.
Town clerk David Lane, right, said: "Councillors felt this scheme would take six to 10 years to come to fruition.
"We need something now, and so further discussions are needed."
