We need to reach out to Shrop-shire ex-pats, who may now be living in the Wiltshire area, and all those who know and love Shrop-shire, to let them know that part of the Wrekin is for sale.
It is being sold by P D Savills and is on the market for £500,000.
The Wrekin is an important and well known small hill in Shropshire with the remains of an Iron Age hill fort at its summit.
It is designated ancient woodland, SSSI, AONB and spiritual home to Shropshire people all over the world.
It is important geologically, historically, topographically, ecologically, socially and spiritually and is very beautiful.
The Holt family, who have owned the part now for sale for 200 years, has always allowed people to walk on it but a change of ownership could not guarantee that remaining unless the people, through Shropshire Wildlife Trust, could buy it for themselves.
