THREE time paralympic gold medallist, Ann Dunham, has been honoured by Wiltshire County Council chairman, Allan Peach at a ceremony at County Hall, in Trowbridge.
Ann, 55, from Broad Hinton, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, won an equestrian team gold medal for Great Britain, at the Athens Paralympics this year in the dressage competition.
This year's success takes her gold medal tally to three following gold at both the Sydney and Atlanta games.
In addition to being a paralympic heroine, Ann is also a member of the county council's adult and community services advisory panel where she represents people who use the county council's services from across the county.
At the ceremony Mr Peach presented Ann with an engraved county council paperweight and paper knife.
He said: "As Wiltshire people we are very proud of what you have achieved, you are truly an inspiration to us all."
Ann said: "I really enjoyed taking part in Athens. The city and the people were fantastic and the atmosphere was incredible."
