I watched question time on Wednesday as our prime minister tried to answer his own party members' questions on Iraq.
These are important matters to the country.
But astonishing as it is, the Government is to press ahead with its Hunting Bill.
The UK has many pressing problems: the NHS is overstretched, crime rates are soaring and our public transport system is beyond a joke.
Yet the Government's main concern is hunting.
As priorities go, hunting should not even be on the list.
If hunting must be the subject of legislation then the Government can at least have the decency to decide the issue from a basis of principle and evidence rather than the petty class spite and prejudice it is currently displaying.
A ban on hunting will not save the life of a single fox.
It will not benefit the British people and is not wanted by the majority of us (including Labour voters).
