A TOP-six slot should be Town's minimum target in a wide open division insists County Ground boss Andy King.

Victory at Vale Park tonight would thrust the Robins firmly into the play-off zone while cranking expectations up another notch.

The manager, boosted by the capture of Christian Roberts (who chose a move to Town over this evening's opponents) knows supporters want to taste success again and he sees no reason why it shouldn't happen.

He said: "We don't have the resources at this football club to guarantee success.

"What we can do is work hard and strive to achieve it. At the moment we're on the verge of it.

"We've got three strikers with Christian's signing, options and competition for places.

"If the players keep believing and retain that professionalism from the weekend then there's no reason why we can't challenge all season.

"As I've said quite openly, this division is the weakest it's been in my time.

"The expectancy levels have grown for us. People are now expecting Swindon to be up there.

"That's credit to us. We've made that happen.

"I think the minimum target has to be the play-offs.''
