SOFT Cell singer Marc Almond received a message of support from Gene Pitney as he fought for his life after a motorcycle crash.
The 48-year-old was riding pillion on a Suzuki motror cycle when it was in collision with a Vauxhall car in London.
Both Almond and the rider are being treated at The Royal London Hospital.
Almond's condition has improved after initially being described as critical.
The pair had a hit single with Something's Gotten Hold Of My Heart, one of Pitney's best records.
