Colin LewinColin Lewin, who is accused of the murder of Mick Love, will be tried in the New Year for the killing of the postal worker.
Lewin, 34, of Broad Street, Swindon, works at Cooper-Avon Tyres factory in Melksham. He is expected to appear at Bristol Crown Court to make his plea on January 21 to the charge of murdering Mr Love between September 26 and 28. He is currently in custody.
Forty-year-old Mr Love, the father of two children, was found dead in Cannon Street, Swindon, in the early hours of September 27.
During the investigation which followed, two men were detained and questioned by police, but were later released.
A massive house-to house inquiry was carried out and some properties were searched.
The Evening Advertiser printed posters for the police appealing for information, which were put up around the town. More than 50 floral tributes were placed at the end of Cannons Street at the junction with Victoria Road where Mr Love's body was found.
The police discovered his body at 5.19am on Monday, September 27.
