FAMILIES across Swindon are being invited to a fun afternoon at Highworth Library as part of National Parents Week.
The event, which has been organised in partnership with Swindon libraries and SureStart is taking place on Monday.
The event , starting at 1.30pm, is part of a national campaign which aims to encourage families to spend more time together.
And a giant grandfather clock will be made as part of the Time For Families theme.
Other activities include story time with puppets at 2pm and 3.30pm and a Hunt the Teddy competition.
There will also be computer demonstrations with library staff on hand to show how to reserve the latest bestsellers free of charge.
Staff from the Children's Information Service, Swindon SureStart Partnership and local childcare providers will be available to answer questions about careers and training opportunities working with children, plus other child related issues.
Coun Jemima Milton, lead member for libraries, said: "This afternoon promises to be fun filled. The event will no doubt enable families to spend some quality time together."
