Olympic swimmer Jaime King with Burton Hill School head Harry DicksOlympic swimmer Jaime King arrived at Malmesbury Swimming Pool on Saturday to help raise money for Burton Hill School in its swimathon for a new school minibus.
The school is trying to raise £32,000 to buy a new minibus and fit it with harnesses and make it wheelchair friendly.
They have been one minibus short since one of their three broke down in April.
Kay O'Neill, the school's development officer, said the school was hoping to add another £5,000 to the £10,000 already raised.
She also said everybody who helped was amazing and thanked the pool, Jaime King and all the volunteers.
Mrs O'Neill said: "The Guides and the Cubs turned up and a lot of the Marlin Swimming Club did too.
"So far we have raised about £600 but we have only just started to get the money in.
"One of our dads from our care staff has raised £300. He exceeded expectations.
"Jaime swam 60 lengths herself. It was so effortless and constant, swimming up and down with others red in the face.
Jaime also donated Olympic promotional goods for a raffle.
