WINTERSLOW motorcycling ace Vince Prevett has one more goal to achieve after completing one of the most successful seasons in his career.
The self-employed landscape gardener is still on a high after achieving one of his ambitions - riding in the challenging Isle of Man races.
Sponsored by Salisbury firm Hayball Motorcycles, Vince rode their 170mph Yamaha R6 for a total of 749 racing miles bringing back a medal and a replica silver trophy.
Now he has set his sights on entering the Isle of Man TT by 2006 and providing he gets his international licence, is optimistic he will qualify as his lap times achieved on the Isle of Man this year are fast enough to get him into the TT 600.
The 39-year-old went to the Manx with the hope of qualifying as a newcomer and achieved his dream.
He then went further and qualified for the senior race clocking in a 106mph lap before returning to his home in Winterslow, with the honour of coming 13th in the newcomer's race - one of only three Englishmen to successfully complete the course.
Then, in the senior race, competing against 116 top riders, Vince was one of just 82 to finish, crossing the line in 54th place.
The Isle of Man successes followed earlier meetings at Pembury Park where he finished in the top ten at his first outing and on the second visit, secured a win and a third place.
This year Vince also qualified for the British MRO Super Bike 600 series and on the big day finished in 19th place against some of the country's top super bike riders.
The last trip before heading to the Isle of Man was at his local course, Thruxton, where despite starting from the back of the grid, he crossed the line in third place.
Vince said: "It has been a good year. I started racing in 1989, first in the 350 class and then up to the 600 but packed it in in 1996.
"I moved to Winterslow with my family and devoted time to them and my business returning to the sport last year.
"It was the sponsorship from Hayballs that helped me get into the big time and we are now in talks about the next couple of years.
"The one goal remaining for me is the Isle of Man TT. I am not a newcomer any more and the challenge is to qualify for the TT.
"If I do I could be the first south Wiltshire rider ever to compete in the famous TT."
