A SWINDON recruitment firm has taken on a new client a horse that has been saved from being put down.
SJC's managing director Sara Child was shocked when she learned that six-year-old Biscuit, who lived at the Tunley Equestrian Centre in Dunkerton, was to be put down because he couldn't be ridden.
She decided to buy the horse and give him a happy retirement, despite the fact he had a bad back.
She said: "As an animal lover and owner of pets myself I was horrified to find out Biscuit's fate.
"I knew I had to do something and this seemed a perfect solution."
SJC consultant Laura Biro, who already keeps a horse at Dunkerton, told Sara about Biscuit who has been renamed SJC Biscuit and is now visiting him every day.
She said: "I visit Biscuit every day, he is looking much happier and looking forward to a relaxing retirement."
SJC has offices in Commercial Road.
