Screwfix First Division - Calne boss Kelvin Highmore is searching for a new goalkeeper after a horrendous error from Darryl Simms gifted Radstock the points and allowed them to leapfrog the home side at the top of the table on Saturday.

Calne had dominated the second half until a late, hopeful shot from 25 yards somehow went through Simms' hands and into the net.

Now Highmore is searching for another goalkeeper. He said: "We will be making inquiries soon. I think that I need to add competition for places."

Highmore could not believe that his side come away from the game with nothing. He said: "I think that the game was worthy of a draw. We dominated the second half and they didn't even get a decent shot on our goal.

"I don't know what happened with Darryl Simms, the ball just seemed to spin out of his hands. They did not deserve a third goal."

The goals came thick and fast in the first eight minutes with Radstock taking the lead with just 120 seconds on the clock. But Glenn Armstrong took just a minute to even things up again.

Radstock stole the lead once again through striker Lindsay Bryant on eight minutes.

Ben Highmore continued his good run after his return to Calne by equalising with a tremendous solo effort just before half time.

Calne dominated the second half but a shock keeper error in the final minutes gifted Radstock with the winner as the home side let a handful of chances go begging.

The game had an explosive start as Radstock took the lead in the second minute. The Calne defence were all over the place as a ball was driven into the box, it eluded three Calne defenders before falling to striker Wayne Barton. We turned and fired in from 12 yards.

Calne responded straight from the centre kick when striker Highmore was sent crashing to the ground on the edge of the box. Armstrong stepped up to take the free kick and sent the ball flying into the box. It took a deflection before hitting the back of the net.

Radstock were in front again on eight minutes when winger Mark Paget made a blistering run down the left flank. He chipped the ball into the penalty area and picked out striker Bryant. The smallest player on the pitch somehow outjumped the Calne defence to head the ball in.

Calne had most of the possession with winger Ally Duncan causing Radstock problems down the left.

The home side's best opportunity came on 30 minutes when Duncan's cross caused mayhem in the goalmouth but the ball was scrambled to safety.

Calne levelled two minutes before the break. Midfielder Robbie Lardner sent the ball into Highmore on the edge of the area, he controlled it with his chest and took it away from a defender. The keeper didn't move as Highmore and curled the ball into the top corner.

Calne dominated the second half and created numerous half chances with some good passing but could not finish the moves off as Radstock played deep and defended strongly.

The visitors snatched all three points when a half chance turned into a goal.

Striker James Billings found himself in space 25 yards away from goal and hit a shot at keeper Simms.

Simms caught the ball but it spun out of his hands and rolled into the goal to the horror of the Bremhill View crowd.

Manager Highmore was left shaking his head in disbelief. "That goal was not in the script,'' he said. "The players applied themselves well and did not deserve that."

Defender Graham Ford left the club on Friday to join Premier division side Devizes. Highmore said: "Graham has not featuring in our side much, we decided it was right for him to move on."

Calne's league match at Cadbury Heath on Saturday has been cancelled because two of the home side's players have been called up for the Wiltshire U18s FA Youth Cup game on Saturday.

Their travel to Westbury United next Wednesday.
