I would prefer not to get political over a matter as sensitive as the potential development of Brynard's Hill, Wootton Bassett.
However, Coun Steve Walls sat on the North Wiltshire District Council panel which voted in favour of it, including the interface sites, and even argued in favour of retaining them at the meeting. It was a Conservative motion to remove these sites, and it was only when he realised that public opinion was against him that he then voted in favour of removing them a complete about turn.
So what precisely do the Lib Dems want for Wootton Bassett? Or is it simply a case that they are too busy trying to be all things to all men?
Sorry, Steve, we have caught you out again.
We are just waiting for you to claim credit for the war memorial...
Coun Allison Bucknell
Lyneham Ward
North Wiltshire District Council
