RORY FALLON returns to Oakwell still 'mad' at the way he was treated by Barnsley and is out to show the Yorkshire side just what they are missing out on.
It is almost 12 months since the big New Zealander (pictured) jumped at the chance of joining the side he had battered so convincingly while in the Tykes' colours.
Sam Parkin gave Town the lead at Oakwell in September last year before Fallon plundered a late equaliser. Less than two months later they were teammates.
It is a move he hasn't regretted. While Barnsley fans endured mid-table mediocrity last season, Fallon played his part in helping Town reach the play-offs and his goal at Brighton came agonisingly close to propelling King's men to the Millennium Stadium.
Fallon's place is under threat with Sam Parkin's return from suspension tomorrow but the youngster has made it very clear to manager Andy King that he is desperate to play against his old side.
Fallon was often utilised as the lone frontman in a 4-5-1 formation at Oakwell and sometimes found himself the target of the crowd's frustration when things weren't going well.
He said: "It's a big game for me and I've got lot a prove, not to the Swindon fans and people here at the club as they know what I can do.
"I want to show Barnsley what they've missed out on and what they could have had.
"I don't think I got treated very well there and it still makes me mad."
That spells bad news for the Barnsley back four and goalkeeper.
Fallon joked: "I'll be taking it out on defenders and goalkeepers."
Aside from Barnsley matters Fallon is hoping that Town will learn the lessons of Vale Park.
He said: "At Port Vale we were playing that much football that we didn't get the ball into the box early enough. By the time it did arrive I had two men on me.
"It's hard then to get a decent chance.
"Hopefully we'll create chances, Barnsley haven't being doing too well of late, and we can take advantage.
"Everyone's buzzing in training and hungry for it."
The reserve clash at Swansea City scheduled for Wednesday October 27 will now be played on Monday October 25 (7pm).
The original date clashes with the first team fixture against Sheffield Wednesday.
Alan Reeves' men have been without a competitive fixture since mid September.
