YOUNG people have been learning more about local politics.
Students from The John of Gaunt School and Clarendon College, Trowbridge, and The George Ward School, Melksham, were among those at a Make Your Mark event at County Hall on Monday as part of Local Democracy Week.
The local democracy campaign aims to encourage 17-year-olds to develop lobbying and campaigning skills and give them the confidence to get involved in local decision-making and cast their vote.
The event, hosted by ITV News West presenter Peter Rowell, gave those taking part the chance to discuss a range of issues affecting young people in the county.
