A CRACK addict who pleaded guilty to a string of charges in connection with a 16-hour siege in Trowbridge will be sentenced next month.
Robert Smith, of Hampton Gardens, Aylesbury, is due to be sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on November 15 for three robberies, three kidnaps and three firearms offences.
He launched a spree of drug-fuelled violence with an armed robbery at the Spar store on Dursley Road on November 16.
Within a few minutes Smith had kidnapped Trowbridge sisters Victoria and Laura Smith and Richard Coppack, taking them on a 35-mile trip of terror in a stolen car.
Smith appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Tuesday, when sentencing was adjourned for a month because reports on his mental state had been delayed.
Smith, who is detained at Broadmoor maximum-security hospital, was told another assessment would be made there."
