TROWBRIDGE mother Helen Longmore had a little more time to plan her daughter's first birthday than she did the birth.

Miss Longmore, who gave birth to baby Amber in a pub toilet just hours after she found out she was pregnant, celebrated the tot's first birthday last Thursday.

Miss Longmore, 25, from Eastbourne Gardens said: "Me and Amber have both been really well over the last year.

"Everyone says she is really pretty and she has a lovely mop of curly hair.

"For her birthday she had a cake from her uncle which she ate a little bit of but she was most excited about the candle.

"I wish I had a picture of her when she saw it as her little face just lit up."

Amber also received a swing and plenty of clothes to ensure she is one of the best-dressed babies in Trowbridge.

Mother and daughter made the front page of the Wiltshire Times a year ago with their amazing story. Miss Longmore only found out she was pregnant the day before she gave birth.

She was working a night shift at the Just So Caf in Trowbridge when Amber was born in.
