THE Advertiser reports that Swindon's senior judge feels nervous about walking through the town after dark.
He has no need to be, since he is entitled, under our Bill of Rights, to carry arms to defend himself.
On the opposite page of the Advertiser carrying his comments is a report of robbers attacking a victim, putting a rope around his neck and binding his arms.
Had this victim been armed and aware of his surroundings, his assailants would have been the victims, with possible forfeiture of life.
This is a lawless society and citizens must defend themselves.
