I was absolutely dismayed and heartbroken at the Government's decision to allow our precious Coate to be built on.
How dare they? It is utterly disgraceful of our council to even contemplate that area. It is the lungs of Swindon and it is obvious that whoever decided the decision was not born and bred in Swindon. There must be plenty of brownfield sites or less important areas for wildlife.
Yes, it would be nice to have a university but surely our open beauty sites are just as important?
Swindon used to be a pleasant, green town. Now, in its rush to become a city it's destroying what made it so attractive.
Shame on you Swindon Council. Stand up the people and save what's rightly ours.
