ONLY Fools And Horses star David Jason has agreed to launch a national appeal on behalf of the Royal International Air Tattoo Flying Scholarships for the Disabled charity.
The actor who played Del Boy in the hit BBC television comedy series will do so on the BBC's flagship disability programme, Lifeline.
David will record the appeal in December along with two FSD scholars, who have recently returned from flying training.
It will then be broadcast in April and will feature students undergoing training in South Africa as well as interviewing them at home in the UK.
RIAT FSD was established in 1983 in memory of wartime flying ace Group Captain Sir Douglas Bader, who was patron of RIAT.
FSD Director Sue Whitby said: "We are delighted David has taken time out to support our appeal."
David Jason is a keen aviator and an honorary vice-president of the RIAT which is held at RAF Fairford every year.
