Puzzle Corner. A man leaves the train station and catches a Reading bus to Reading University. Where is he? Answer; possibly in Reading.
Later he leaves a train station and catches a Bournemouth bus to Bournemouth University. Where is he? Answer; could be in Bournemouth.
The man leaves another train station and catches a Thamesdown bus to Bath University. Where is he? Answer in Swindon of course. Couldn't be anywhere else, could it?
Thirty years ago a secret pact between Swindon borough councillors and Highworth RD Rural District councillors destroyed Swindon's status and identity.
It took 23 years to eventually discredit and discard Thamesdown and restore the proper name of Swindon. Now, I smell another secret pact this time with the University of Bath.
Are there any red blooded councillors who will decide that enough is enough? No more emasculating of Swindon. No more desecrating of Coate. I sincerely hope so.
