14480/2Customers and even a dog looked pretty in pink during a charity dinner that raised approximately £2,500 for breast cancer research last Tuesday night.
The evening was called a pink soiree and organised by owners of the Vine Tree pub in Norton, Charles Walker and Tiggi Wood.
Guests were asked to contribute £25 each for a five-course dinner themed around the colour pink.
Afterwards there was an auction for prizes such as pink champagne, a round of golf and a half-day spa.
The money raised will now go directly to Cancer Research UK.
It was the fourth time the Vine Tree has held the pink night, as it has become known.
Miss Wood said: "Everyone entered into the spirit with gusto and there were some very fetching outfits with an appropriate percentage of cleavage on show.
"Even Clementine our black Labrador donned a pink ribbon collar.
"All our staff did an incredible job and really pulled out the stops in looking after our 51 guests."
Miss Wood urged customers to carry on bidding for a hunting day for two by taking part in a silent auction at the pub. Bids will be accepted until 9pm on November 7. Call Miss Wood on (01666) 837654.
The nipple rolls went down particularly well and the authentic paella was apparently to die for. We are only too pleased to contribute in a small way in this fight against a truly all enveloping and hideous disease."
