Only Fools and Horses star David Jason has agreed to launch a national appeal on behalf of the Royal International Air Tattoo Flying Scholarships for the Disabled (FSD) charity.
The actor, who plays Del Boy in the hit BBC television comedy series, will do so on the BBC's flagship disability programme, Lifeline.
Mr Jason will record the appeal in December along with two FSD scholars, who have recently returned from flying training.
It will be broadcast in April, and will feature students undergoing training in South Africa as well as interviewing them at home in Britain. Mr Jason is a keen aviator and an honorary vice-president of the RIAT, which is held at RAF Fairford every year.
