TEENAGER Sarah Webster is finally back at her Cricklade home more than a month after setting off for her ill-fated holiday to Turkey.
The showjumper suffered horrific injuries after falling 30ft from a hotel balcony in the resort of Marmaris.
Staff at Great Western Hospital were bowled over by the 18-year-old's progress and allowed her to go home on Monday.
Sarah is now recovering at her mum's home in Stockham Close.
Her sister, Harriet Gray, 30, who is acting as the family's spokesperson, said she is relieved to be back.
"She was absolutely gobsmacked when the physios said she could go home," said Mrs Gray.
"She asked them last week on a whim and to her surprise they said okay."
Mrs Webster has moved her daughter's bed downstairs to the living room, because she still has problems walking.
"She can shuffle along but she tends to use her wheelchair," said Mrs Gray.
"A ramp has been fitted in front of the front door and physios will be making visits there."
Yesterday, Sarah had the bandages removed from her wrists which she smashed in the fall and splints fitted.
Mrs Gray said Sarah, who hopes to make it as a top showjumper, can't wait to get back on the saddle again. She said: "Sarah is obviously over-the-moon to be back home
