YOUTHS armed with yoghurts are making life hell for villagers.
Wendy Humphreys and her family, who live in Coronation Road, Wroughton, were woken at 2am yesterday by the vandals. She later found several yoghurt pots had exploded on her front windows.
She said: "We phoned the police and they told us that a car parked outside the Ellendune Community Centre had also been pelted by yoghurts.
"It's scared us. My daughter, Sarah 20, has epilepsy and learning difficulties. We don't need this."
It seems youths may have switched their ammunition in the run-up to Halloween, following restrictions on sales of eggs to under 16s.
Last year the Advertiser reported youths were targeting the village library.
Sarah Bush, the chairman of the parish council, said talks with traders and police had then helped stem the problem.
"This parish council deplores any kind of vandalism, " she said.
"We will continue to work with police and storekeepers to address the problem."
Anyone with information should call police on 01793 528111.
