14439/1Pupils at Potterne Primary School enjoyed visiting their former pre-school last week. It was the first time the village primary had joined forces with the Bright Sparks Pre-school and the Baby and Toddler Group to offer villagers and prospective parents a view of what the village has to offer children from birth to 11 years old.
Visitors were able to see the full range of activities at the primary school as well as watching pre-school children at work and at play. The toddlers, who normally meet at the village hall, had all their equipment out and were involved in icing cakes.
Jackie Sawyer, who helped organise the event, said: "It was particularly interesting to see how much the older primary school children enjoyed going back to seeing what was going on at their pre-school and how much it had changed since they were there."
The primary school, pre-school and the baby and toddler group have recently come together to form Potterne Young Learners Partnership to pool their resources for the benefit of all children and parents in the village.
