How sensational a headline which describes the overall amounts of money which the two Swindon MPs draw to run their services to the local electorate.

It is unfortunate that the wrong impression is given by rash criticism of people in high places who, after all, are carrying out a service to any constituent who asks for their help.

Michael Wills has, and will continue to give help and assistance to all who approach him. He needs his staff to be there working on his cases to achieve results.

These people, and the money which they accrue, should not be counted as an expensive luxury to the MP, but as a very worthwhile branch of the service he is able to utilise for the benefit of all of us.

In the broad picture, the figures were not published to show that any MPs across the country were fleecing the public purse, but to give an insight into just how much the services of a democracy costs.
