WOOTTON Bassett U15s team ran out easy winners at Witney on Sunday morning with tries from Liam Hindmarch, Keith Adams, David Webster, William Hooper and Liam Rowe (4).
Elliott Read added 14 points from the boot.
Team Manager Clive Lambdon said: "It was a positive performance, and the whole team raised their game after the away defeat to Keynsham the weekend before.
"We dominated the loose and the set piece worked well providing a stable platform to launch our backs and back row forwards. Collectively the team did well."
Bassett won the first half 19-7 and stepped up the pressure in the second by putting a further 35 points on the board, conceding only one try to Witney in the last play of the game.
The try of the game came from Hooper after the forwards had turned over the ball. It was then passed through the threequarters to the left wing Anthony Gooding who cut in, and made space for Read on an outside loop, who then passed inside to set Hooper away to score.
Dwayne Fisher, Clinton Lovett, Mike Edwards and Robbie White made a huge contribution when coming off the bench in the second half.
