MELKSHAM Hospital has undergone a revamp thanks to a fundraising effort by its League of Friends.
The community hospital, on Spa Road, was given £7,000 in cash by the charity, which raised the money at its annual fete.
Walls have been given a fresh coat of paint to give patients and visitors a more cheery welcome.
Social care manager Janice Gage said: "It has brightened up some very dull areas as well as raising the spirits of staff and patients who now benefit from a much brighter and cleaner environment."
The charity, set up to raise money for the hospital, also agreed to buy a television, video and stand aid for patients waiting to be seen by the wheelchair service.
"This will help to improve patient care for people in the community as well as the hospital.
"We are all extremely grateful to the League of Friends who continually demonstrate their ongoing generous support to the staff, patients, and visitors," Mrs Gage said.
