16087/2A FUNERAL DIRECTOR is descending 150,000ft in six days on a snowboard to raise cash for charity.
Aaron Bewley, of Church Street, Melksham, is taking part in the 2005 Colorado Challenge, organised by cerebral palsy charity Scope.
Ski and snowboard enthusiasts will tackle slopes at six resorts around Colorado, covering between 90 and 150km a day, with the help of four-time Olympian and British champion Martin Bell.
Mr Bewley, 25, whose 10-year-old sister Rachel suffers from the condition, said: "I spotted the challenge through one of her newsletters. I'm quite a good snowboarder so it was one way to give something back. She thinks it's a good idea"
Mr Bewley has already raised more than £3,000, including donations from West Wiltshire Crematorium, Corsham Rotary Club and Lloyds Bank in Corsham.
