A FORUM has been set up to convince landlords to consider renting their property to people on housing benefits.
West Wiltshire District Council has set up the meeting on December 2 at its offices in Bradley Road for residential landlords and people thinking about buying property to rent.
The forum will include presentations from housing benefits staff and members of the housing needs team.
Accommodation officer Tracie Smith said: "A lot of people do not consider renting their properties to people on housing benefit because they have a preconception of what it would be like.
"We want to remove some of the myths surrounding this type of rental by explaining what we as a council can do to help and support landlords in this situation."
The forum will run from 10am to midday.
