BUDDING artists in Wiltshire teamed up with Lord Bath this week to try to draw the world's biggest group portrait.
Lord Bath officially launched the Big Portrait at Longleat House on Friday with members of the public sketching their faces on a giant canvas.
Over 1,000 visitors have taken part so far, and during the launch accomplished artist Lord Bath added his own portrait to the collection.
Longleat curator, Dr Kate Harris, organised the event and said the portrait would become part of Longleat's history.
"The idea is for every visitor to draw a picture of themselves or one of their companions at Longleat," she said.
"The finished portrait will be preserved in the Longleat archives for future generations of visitors to enjoy."
Longleat spokesman Florence Wallace said: "It is still going on and everybody is welcome to come along to add their face to the portrait."
