IN 1914 Captain Cooper, with a group from the Bradford on Avon Church Lads Brigade, went down to Dawlish and transmitted to the surrounding areas using a rotary spark transmitter with a crystal diode.
Although I have consulted numerous amateur radio books few mention Bradford on Avon Wireless Club. Was Captain Cooper president of RSGB in 1952?
I would appreciate any further information on Bradford on Avon Wireless Club.

I WONDER if any of your readers in the Trowbridge area can help me to trace any relatives I may have there?
My great uncle, Robert Henry Hudson, lived at 42 Stallard Street until his death in April 1940. His widow, Annie, moved (perhaps only temporarily?) to Pontypridd in south Wales. They both came originally from Yorkshire and I believe it might have been my uncle's job in the Army that brought him to Wiltshire.
If there is anyone now living in the Trowbridge area, whether descendants of Robert and Annie or people who knew of them, I should be delighted to hear from them.
