POLICE are searching for witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint in a Swindon park.
The 32-year-old was walking through the lakes area in the Lawn Woods on Saturday between 12.15pm and 1.15pm when two men approached him and threatened him with a knife, demanding his mobile phone. He handed it over and the pair made off in the direction of Queens Drive.
The police want anyone who was the Old Town area, the entrance to Lawn Woods or Queens Drive to come forward.
They are particularly interested in talking to a woman aged in her 20s with light coloured hair who was walking her dog through the park at the time.
One of the robbers is described as black, slim, 5ft 10in and wearing a black coloured puffer jacket.
The other was white, slim, 5ft 10in and wearing a waist length blue denim jacket.
Both were in their late 20s to early 30s.
The man who was robbed wore a beige coloured jacket and baseball cap.
Anyone with information should contact Swindon police on 01793 528 111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 222 111.
