A VINTAGE lorry provided an unusual lift home from the pub for a Trowbridge man.
Bob Hallam, 65, was surprised to find colleagues from the environmental health department at West Wiltshire District Council had arranged the 1937 Albion lorry to take him home after his retirement do at The Poplars pub.
He said: "It was a surprise and it really knocked me back. My hobby is vintage vehicles so it was really lovely of them."
Mr Hallam worked for the council for 23 years, the past eight in the environmental health department.
"I will miss it because they are a good bunch of folk but it is nice to be retired."
Mr Hallam now plans to spend more time indulg-ing his passion for collecting motoring memorabilia.
