Trowbridge Players are repeating their spring play Educating Rita as an autumn production to raise money for a village hall.
The Willy Russell play was such a success that amateur actress Nadine Comba is bringing the production to Hilperton Village Hall for a one-off showing tomorrow at 7.30pm.
Educating Rita was also a prize-winning film in the 1980s. The movie won Oscar nominations and actors Michael Caine and Julie Walters both won BAFTA awards.
Nadine Comba, from Hilperton, plays Rita, a young working class housewife who wants to better herself.
She attends private classes with literature teacher Dr Frank Bryant (Mark Rhodes), who has a drink problem.
Ms Comba said: "The play was well received when we staged it in the spring."
Tickets cost £5 and are available from Hilperton Post Office and the funds will go to the Hilperton Village Hall and the village church.
