A TROWBRIDGE man who has raised over £13,000 in memory of his wife has pledged to carry on fundraising until he doubles that amount.
Rob Deadman, whose 28-year-old wife Rachel lost her three-year battle with cervical cancer in May, received a certificate of thanks from the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group on Friday.
He said: "We want to help people in the same position as we were. This money is already doing that and £30,000 will do even more."
Mr Deadman, 33, of Fleur de Lys Drive, Southwick, raised most of the money through an auction of sports memorabilia in Bath and is planning more events.
The former Wiltshire rugby captain is now raising the couple's three children, Stephanie, 10, Kayleigh, seven, and three-year-old Kyle on his own.
