A man was helping police with their enquiries yesterday after trying to exchange four and half thousand counterfeit US Dollars in a Swindon post office.
Staff at the Sandford Street Post Office called the police when they discovered that the notes that the 21-year-old man had brought in were fake.
He was taken to the police station and kept in custody but has not been charged.
Acting inspector Ian Stevenson said described the incident as being an unusual.
