SWINDON MP Julia Drown has thrown her weight behind a campaign to improve facilities for deaf children in local and national schools.
More than 900 schools, including Shaw Ridge Primary School, are taking part in the Deaf Friendly Schools Pledge, which has been set up by the Deaf Childrens' Society.
It involves them signing up to a ten point pledge.
The aims is to improve communication and accessibility for deaf children.
