TO celebrate One World Week at the morning service in the Pilgrim Centre on October 24, the congregation of Central Church was joined by the New Life Christian Ministry and the Brazilian Assemblies of God, both of whom worship in the Pilgrim Centre.
This was a joyous occasion with the worship area full to capacity. The service was conducted in English and Portuguese, while songs were sung in Swahili and Punjabi by choirs in brilliantly coloured ethnic costumes and by joint groups of the children from the three churches.
After the service, the mixing of the congregations continued in the Roundabout Cafe where people shared traditional foods.
