A POSTER campaign to keep tricksters away during Halloween has been hailed a success.
Jean Lawrence, 72, of Brook Meadow, Wroughton, who was the first person to put up a poster to deter tricksters, said there had been no trouble for the 20 people in her neighbourhood who had supported the campaign.
"So far we've had no problems at all," said Mrs Lawrence
The Evening Advertiser joined forces with the police for the campaign and hundreds of posters were dished out to Swindon residents.
Police have received up to 400 calls about horror-related incidents such as egg and flour throwing in previous years.
No one at Swindon Police was available to comment on the situation.
