Ref. 73177-67Brave visitors took a ghost train ride through Swindon on the eve Halloween .
They travelled on the Swindon and Cricklade Railway for a spooky one-mile journey from Blunsdon to Hayes Knoll.
Volunteers who run the railway decked out a train carriage with spooky Halloween decortions, dimmed the lights and invited actors from the Calne Players amateur dramatics group to dress up as scary characters.
Hilary Sharman, who works at the railway caf, said: "We tried to decorate the train carriage to look as spooky as possible with lots of scary things hanging down from the ceiling, skeletons and that sort of thing.
"Also the lights in the carriage were dimmed to add to the atmosphere.
"We tell parents not to bring toddlers or nervous children because it is quite frightening."
